Topic: Turning Wastewater
into Energy
Join the Clean Tech Institute and the
International Association of Nanotechnology for a discussion of
turning wastewater into energy at the next Nano Lunch on
Thursday May 8. The lunchtime forum, sponsored by the Clean Tech
Institute and the International Association of Nanotechnology,
will take place from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM at 1290 Parkmoor Ave.,
San Jose.
Guest speaker Dr. Charles Zhou, co-founder of Quantum
Intelligence and Cascade Clean Energy, will outline a new method
used to recover energy from wastewater using Microbial Fuel Cell
(MFC) technology. The new technology utilized electrogenic
bacteria that converts organic matter to electricity and clean
water in terms of reducing biochemical oxygen demand.
An overview of the wide range of clean tech
and nanotech training programs offered by the California
Institute of Nanotechnology will also be presented.
Our NanoLunch Seminar series is held every
Thursday from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and feature presentations,
open discussions and networking opportunities with industry
leaders.
